Aim: To provide a forum for consideration workforce education and training in support of oral health in Europe with a Community and Dental Public Health lens.

Objectives:

  1. To review oral health workforce issues for Europe including skill mix and relevant models of care to address population needs in the face of current challenges.
  2. To consider where are we now, and where would we like to be by 2030 (and beyond) in relation to workforce and the education & training implications?
  3. To share and develop best practice in relation to the development of education and training of the undergraduate oral health workforce across Europe.
  4. To inform specialty training across Europe, most notably Dental Public Health.
  5. To contribute to research and scholarship in relation to workforce, education, and training; and facilitate the association in contributing to European and global policy and action.
  6. To liaise with other SIGs and contribute to national congresses both online and in person throughout the year.
